Since the first publication of his photography of Scottish courses in 1996, Donald Ford's images have been in demand by golf enthusiasts across the world. In 1999 he published "The Great Scottish Courses", featuring sixty-four of Scotland's finest venues in a sumptuous photographic celebration of this country's contribution to the game during the Second Millennium. As a limited edition of 3,500 copies, it has now almost sold out.
Demands for a second edition came from many of those who were thrilled by their investment in volume one. In recognition of these, and also of the efforts of the vast majority of Scottish clubs to present the loveliest of locations on which members and visitors alike may enjoy their golf in Scotland, he now presents Volume Two. Thirty four of the courses featured are new to the Second Edition.
There is no country in the world which boasts the qualities of light and landscape from which more than five hundred Scottish golf courses have been created down the years. Hopefully the photographs herein do sufficient justice to them all - and give as much pleasure to the reader as they did to the photographer when he captured them.
